Where I started, what I do now

Current work first, then competitions, field research, and the milestones that led here — grouped by kind, never flattened into one list where a weekend hackathon looks like a year of work.

From proofs on paper to systems in the field

Mathematics came first. Competitions taught me that an answer is worth nothing until you can prove it — the habit that still decides what I am willing to claim. Code was the natural next step: the same rigor, but the result is something people can use.

Turing Hackathon Cycle 10 changed the plan. Building Chomkar OrderLoop with CHNAI LAB, I found the engineering was the smallest of the open questions. Who pays for this? What does a contract with a buyer actually promise? Who is accountable when a recommendation costs a farmer income? A system that works is not yet a company.

So I went after the other questions directly: computer science at Fort Hays State, IT management at AUPP, and English for Work Skills at IFL with international business as the declared major — alongside my own reading in technology law and policy. It is one plan, not three: build the system, understand the market, know the rules.

I lead a small professional reading circle governed by a written handbook. Leadership rotates through weekly offices, and members are measured on what they produce — explanations, artifacts, applied experiments — rather than on pages read. These are the standards I set for the circle, not results it has reported.

  • Wrote and maintain the circle's governing handbook — 42 pages, Second Edition 2026 — covering the constitution, the reading method, the AI-use policy, working templates, and a twelve-month book pipeline. It is reviewed quarterly and stays internal rather than published.

  • Wrote the circle's AI-use policy: five rules binding on every member, including me — AI never replaces the reading, recall before assistance, AI as challenger rather than answer machine, first drafts authored by the member, and disclosure of AI's role in anything shipped. It is the same claim discipline this site runs on, written for a group instead of for one person.

  • The circle grew out of a four-member reading club begun on 28 July 2026 and now runs live sessions under this handbook.

Volunteer — competition organization & examination writing

CIMOC 2025 — Cambodia International Mathematical Olympiad Champion

Back in the mathematics-competition world from the other side of the table: helping run the CIMOC Final Round in Phnom Penh and contributing to the Grade 11 examination paper.

  • Assisted in organizing and invigilating the CIMOC Final Round (26 October 2025, SCIA, Phnom Penh) and contributed to writing and preparing the Grade 11 mathematics examination paper.

  • The volunteer team was photographed together at the Final Round award ceremony.

Author & editor — six bilingual mathematics titles

Compiled, edited, and self-published six bilingual mathematics titles as First Editions (2026) under the CHNAI LAB imprint: matched Grade 6 and Grade 7 sets of an English–Khmer dictionary, an exercise book, and a full worked-solutions answer book — 1,780 pages in total, with original exercise questions and fully worked solutions, written for Cambodian students who study mathematics in English.
